The Sand Sculpture Festival is taking place at “The Lake” Park in the coastal city of Bourgas.
This year, the festival will feature characters from beloved comic books and movies.
Some of the pieces include images of Harry Potter, Beauty and the Beast and characters from Star Wars.
15 sand scuptors from Bulgaria, Turkey and Ukraine are participating in this year’s edition.

The Sand Sculptures Festival is held annually from 2008 in the city of Bourgas, on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
The event begins in early summer (July) and the sculptures remain open for visiting throughout the summer.
The sand shapes are located in the Park "Ezeroto" ("The Lake") in the Sea Garden. The festival attracts many Bulgarian and world-renowned international artists.
