Schools in several districts cancel classes over flu epidemic

The Regional Health Inspectorate in Bourgas on March 2 announced flu epidemic on the territory of Bourgas district from March 3, the health ministry said.

A restriction on visitors to hospitals is in place. Scheduled and non-urgent medical consultations for children and women have been suspended.

Due to the increase in the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory diseases, the regional education departments in the districts of Shumen, Bourgas and Pernik, as well as in the municipalities of Varna and Blagoevgrad, are recommended to cancel classes in all schools from March 4 to March 6, inclusive.

this is the second time Varna declares flu epidemic.
