The situation in the region of Smolyan, South of Bulgaria, is getting back to normal after the heavy rainfall in the recent days. In the morning on 3rd of August, the state odf emergency in the villages of Osikovo, Mihalkovo and Churukovo in Devid municipality has been cancelled. In Chepelare the ste of emergency remains in force.
The main road Krichim-Devin at the entrance of the village of Osikovo was closed to traffic by 13.00today. At the moment, a trench is being dug to manage the drain away of the water from the river and prevent floods on the road.
The road agency reported that traffic on Mihalkovo - Krichim road is temporarily restricted because of repair of the water supply network. The by-pass route is via Devin and Shiroka Luka.
