The situation in the town of Kazanlak is getting back to normal. After the torrential downpours over the recent days, Stara Reka river burst its banks and flooded streets, washed out several bridges in the town and the village of Elina. Farmyards in several villages were flooded. Residents of Kazanlak say they have not seen the river so full for 70 years.
The situation during the night on 27th of May was calm. There were no reports about overflowing inland waters in the region.
