Sofia is in the Top 20 of the European cities with most promising prospects for investment, technology, innovation and start-ups.
Bulgaria’s capital is ranked 20th out of 76 cities included in the Tech Cities of Future 2020/21 ranking published by Financial Times Intelligence Division fDi and digital business media The Next Web..
The performance of the cities is based on data collected for 76 locations, under five categories: Economic Potential, Innovation and Attractiveness, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Performance, Cost-Effectiveness, and Startup Environment.
UK’s capital London takes first place. Paris, Dublin, Amsterdam and Berlin are in the top 5.
From the Balkan countries cities, Bucharest is in the 7th position. Sofia ranks 20th, immediately after Moscow and Helsinki and is ahead of Milan, Prague and Tallinn.
