Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov officially opened the science and technology complex “Sofia Tech Park” on 11th of December.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be also attended by President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska, the Minister President of Bavaria Horst Seehofe and EU Regional Policy Commissioner Corina Cretu, who are on a visit in Bulgaria.
“Sofia Tech Park” started work with a two-day forum (10th and 11th December 2015), dedicated to the role of science and technology for the development of entrepreneurship and innovations.
The park is 100% state-owned.
Eleven laboratories for scientific and research activities will work in the premises of the park in various areas such as artificial intellect, nanotechnologies, microbiology genetic engineering and pharmacy.
The goal of “Sofia Tech Park” is to develop innovations in Bulgaria in close cooperation with the business.
