The state of emergency in the region of Teteven remains in place on 25th of July. The floods continue, all the river levels in the country are monitored. Ivailovgrad Dam is at risk of overflowing due to expected intensive rainfall throughout the catchment аrea of the Arda River in the coming days.
In order to cope with the incoming water supply "Ivaylovgrad" WPP switched to a 24-hour working regime. The flow of the Arda River after the dam is expected to exceed 300 cubic metres per second.
The level of the Maritsa River is constantly monitored. Yesterday, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry warned the authorities in Greece and Turkey of the expected dangerous rise of the waters of the Arda and Maritsa rivers.
