Stephan Komandarev's Bulgarian-German drama "Blaga's Lessons" won three prizes at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival on July 9. The film was awarded the Crystal Globe Grand Prix, as well as the Grand Prize from the ecumenical jury, which is awarded for upholding Christian and moral values through cinema.

Actress Eli Skorcheva received the award for Best Actress - the award was for her role as a teacher who loses all her savings because of phone scammers. With this role, Eli Skorcheva returned to the cinema after almost 30 years of absence.

"The Blaga's Lessons" will be presented for the first time in Bulgaria at the Golden Rose Festival. It will also open the "Kinomania" (cinemania). BNT is a co-producer.
