Many regions in Bulgaria saw bad weather with storms, heavy rains and hails in the afternoon and evening on July 1.
The storms started from the Danube plain, dropping hails over Pleven, Vratsa and some settlements in the districts of Montana and Vidin (Northern Bulgaria).



Egg-sized hail broke the windows of dozens of cars in Cherven Bryag. Roofs of houses were destroyed. Crops were damaged.
Heavy rain poured over Plovdiv (Southern Bulgaria) at around 8 pm, accompanied by hail in places. More than 60 signals were received for fallen trees and branches in all areas of the city.
Rroofs, building structures, advertising facilities were blown off during the torrential rains. The number of signals for damages is constantly growing.
Heavy rain turned the centre of Bulgaria’s old capital Veliko Turnovo into a river.
Until late this evening, traders were draining and cleaning their flooded shops and said they were worried every time it rains now.
