Sixty six new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total cases to 1081, the head of the task force, Prof. Mutafchiyski said on April 23. The increase is by 6.5% since yesterday.
The active cases are 841.
Out of the new cases, 22 are in Sofia, 13 in Pleven, 9 of which are persons in contact with the infected workers in “Mizia” clothes manufacturing factory.
Five of the latest cases are in Sliven, 5 in Veliko Turnovo, 4 in Plovdiv, 4 in Pazardzhik, 4 in Kyustnedil, 3 in Lovech 9 in an old people’s home in the village of Oreshak), 2 in Vidin, 1 in Varna, 1 in Bourgas, 1 in Silistra, 1 in Pernik.
The persons under the age of 18 who tested positive for the virus are 39, 22 are under the age of 10. There are two new cases of infected children in Pleven -2 girls: one is 2, the other is 9 years old. There are two boys in Kysutendil and a 2 year old boy in Pazardzhik.
12 new cases of medical staff were confirmed today: 2 from Pirogov emergency hospital in Sofia, 1 in Ivan rilski hospital, 1 in Sofiamed, 1 in the Military Medical Academy, 2 in the city of Sliven, 4 in Veliko Turnovo.
262 of the total cases are in hospitals, 37 of them are in intensive care.
Three covid-19 patients died over the past 24 hours. The total deaths are 50.
