The condition of Bulgarian pupils injured during the blast in Bologna is stable

The condition of the Bulgarian students who were injured in the explosion in Italy on 6^th of August is stable. On 6^th of August, a lorry collided with a bus on a busy motorway near Bologna airport. Two people died, at least 70 were injured. The incident was followed by several more explosions of nearby cars. The majority of the injured were hit by flying objects.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte paid a visit to the most injured victims of the tank-truck explosion yesterday near Bologna. A policeman involved in the rescue operation was among the victims and a Bulgarian pupil from Silistra, who was hospitalised in Cesena. From there, Conte headed for Bologna, where the other victims were hospitalised.

Bulgaria's Consul General in Milan Rosen Rufev is traveling to Cesena. He has already met in Bologna with the students of the Mechanical Engineering School in Silistra. The two children hospitalised in Bologna for plastic surgery may be discharged by the end of the day. Another pupil is admitted to another hospital near Bologna and is also expected to be discharged from it soon. A 42-year-old tanker driver died in the explosion.

Bulgaria's Consul General in Milan Rosen Rufev travels to the city of Cesena together with the Consul of this region of Italy Franco Castellini. The Bulgarian pupil with the most severe burnsis in hospital in the town.

According to Rufev, the hostel where the children were housed is located about 500 metres from the site of the blast, which explains their minor injuries.

The children who suffered the blast near Bologna are recovering. They are calm and well. The headmaster of the school, they are studying at, also went to Italy and is currently there.
