Sofia City Prosecutor's Office issued a European arrest warent to detain Evelin Banev – Brendo in relation with the execution of his six years’ sentence for imprisonment.
Evelin Banev was convicted that in the period from October 17, 2002 to May 30, 2005, on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the British Virgin Islands, the Swiss Confederation and the Republic of Austria participated in an organized criminal group, created for the purpose of executing financial operations with funds known to have been acquired through a serious crime - trafficking of narcotic substances - a crime under Art. 321 para. 3 pt. 2 of the Penal Code.
The sentence against Banev has been in force since 26.04.2018. and the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office immediately ordered the detention of the sentenced Banev and his imprisonment.
