Colourful beds of tulips blanket the Botanical Garden in Bulgaria’s coastal town of Balchik. This year, the biggest attraction in the spring is the Tulip Parade, but for the first time there are no visitors as the garden is closed because of the coronavirus regulation.
More than 50,000 blooms, of all varieties, can be seen in the gardens. This year, however, not live but on the University Botanical Garden website.
Botanists try to enrich the collection with new ones every year. Along with tulips in the gardens, other flowers, such as violets and forget-me-nots, bloom in the spring.
The Tulip Parade will run until middle of May.
