The total number of coronavirus cases confirmed in Bulgaria rose to 2023 after 19 more people tested positive for the virus during the day, the national task force said in its 05:00 pm update on May 12.
Three of the latest cases are in Blagoevgrad district, 3 in Pernik and 13 in Sofia.
365 patients diagnosed with Covid-19 are in hospitals, 51 of them in intensive care.
281 medical professionals are infected with the virus.
Of the total, 981 are men and 1042 are women. The average age of the infected is 50
The deaths rose to 95 after a 43 year old man died in Pazardzhik. He also had diabetes and Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).An 83 year old woman from the old people’s home in Gara Oreshets village died in a hospital in Vratsa. She also had underlying health conditions, including cancer and stroke.
