Total coronavirus cases confirmed in Bulgaria is 1097

The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria are 1097, the daily update of the national task force said in the afternoon on April 23. Sixteen more cases were registered during the day in addition to the 66 reported in the morning.

Eight of the latest ones are in Vidin disttrict, 5 in Kyustendil, 1 in Blagoevgrad, 1 in Yambol and 1 Vratsa.

270 persons with Covid-19 are treated in hospitals, 37 of them are in intensive care.

The number of medical specilaists who tested positive for the virus is now 95.

As at 17.00 pm, the cases in the districts affected by the coronavirus across the country are as follows: Blagoevgrad – 23; Bourgas – 42; Varna - 26; Veliko Turnovo – 16; Vidin – 40; Vratsa – 3; Gabrovo – 4; Dobrich – 13; Kardzhali – 13; Kyustendil – 35; Lovech – 2; Montana – 18; Pazardzhik – 21; Pernik – 9; Pleven – 67; Plovdiv – 42; Rousse - 7; Silistra - 3; Sliven – 30; Smolyan – 33; Sofia – 594; Stara Zagora – 32; Haskovo – 15; Shumen – 4; Yambol – 5.
