Twenty one new cases of coronavirus were registered in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total to 1632, the national task force said on May 4.
321 patients diagnosed with Covid-19 are in hospitals.
Six of the new cases are in Sofia. The cities of Pleven and Pazardzhik reported five new cases each, there are 2 in Plovdiv, one in Blagoevgrad, one in Vratsa and one in Smolyan.
One more medical professional from the emergency in Sofia tested positive for the virus.
Two patients died in the past 24 hours: a 48 year old man in Sofia and 68 year old man in Vidin, both had underlying health conditions. The total number of Covid-19 deaths is now 74.
Data shows that the new cases in the week from 13 to 19 of April were 329; the week from 20 to 26 of April were 433; and the week from April 27 to May 3 they were 284. The peak of the disease was between 20 and 26 of April.
