The total number of coronavirus cases confirmed in Bulgaria has risen to 1555 after 14 more people tested positive since this morning, an update of the national task force said on May 1.
317 Covid-19 patients are in hospitals, 43 of them are in intensive care.
The total number includes 776 men and 779 women.
The number of medical professionals infected with the virus is also increasing, the total is now 170.
As at 17.00 pm, on May 1, the cases of coronavirus in the districts across the country are as follows: Blagoevgrad – 45; Bourgas – 47; Varna - 26; Veliko Turnovo – 24; Vidin – 111; Vratsa – 8; Gabrovo – 6; Dobrich – 13; Kardzhali – 13; Kyustendil – 67; Lovech – 2; Montana – 18; Pazardzhik – 26; Pernik – 17; Pleven – 154;Plovdiv – 76; Rousse - 15; Silistra - 5; Sliven – 49; Smolyan – 35; Sofia – 725; Stara Zagora – 37; Haskovo – 17; Shumen – 4; Yambol – 15.
164 medical professionals have tested positive for the virus.
The fatalities are 68. A 64 year old man died in the hospital in Plovdiv and a 65 year old man in Sliven.
