Two new pedestrian zones will be introduced in Sofia as of 3rd of March. The first is in the section from Alabin Street to Alexander Stamboliiski Blvd. It will link the pedestrian zone of Vitosha Boulevard with Sveta Nedelya square.
Only tram traffic will be allowed in the new pedestrian zones.
The second pedestrian zone is between the Trapezitsa and Pirotska streets where the Western Gate of Old Serdica archaeological complex is located.
