UK Ambassador to Bulgaria visited the Headquarters of the Naval Forces in Varna

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Bulgaria His Excellency Mr.Rob Dixon on September 29 visited the Headquarters of the Naval Forces in the coastal city of Varna to get acquainted with the Command of the Bulgarian Navy. The main topic of the talks was the vision of cooperation between the two countries.

Also today, at the Fleet Headquarters in the presence of the Commander of the Navy, Rear Admiral Kiril Mihailov, the commanders of military formations from the Varna garrison and the personnel were awarded prizes to distinguished military men. By order of the Minister of Defense, Krassimir Damyanov and Captain Atanas Georgiev were awarded Captain III rank for active participation in helping the population in winter conditions, in disposing of ammunition, in transporting patients for emergency treatment, in providing assistance in quarantine conditions and for civic valour in saving lives.

Captain Hristo Radkev and Captain Haralambi Sertev were awarded by the Chief of Defense for active assistance to the population and manifestation of civic valour in saving human life. Senior Lieutenant Nikolai Nikolov was awarded by the Commander of the Navy for his vigilance, civic valour and mental resilience.
