The candidate for mayor of Sofia, Vanya Grigorova, filed an appeal in the Administrative Court - Sofia against the decision of the Municipal Election Commission for the election of Vassil Terziev as mayor.
Grigorova remained second in the the mayoral elections runoff in Sofia. Terziev won with less than 5,000 votes more than his opponent.

In the appeal filed today, November 9, a request is made to suspend the provisional execution of the decision.
According to Article 1, paragraph 1 of the rules for the distribution of cases in the Sofia Administrative Court, the appeal was sent to the CEC for immediate completion with the administrative file and sending them to the court.
Upon receipt of the file, a case will be immediately opened and randomly assigned to a judge.
The request for suspension of the provisional execution will be considered after the case has been opened.
The Metropolitan City Council meets for its first meeting after the election on Monday, October 13, at 10 a.m.
Then the newly elected municipal councillors, as well as the new mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, and the district mayors will be sworn in. It is scheduled by order of the district governor Vyara Todeva.
