On 18th of May, the topic of the Western Balkans continues is the focus of attention after yesterday’s summit, which was dedicated to the countries of the region. Vienna Economic Forum organized a meeting including the six countries of the Western Balkans and Bulgaria. Politicians, large business organizations and companies are invited to take part.
Тhe forum began with a summary of yesterday’s EU-Western Balkans summit. Today's forum is seen as a continuation of the summit and the topic of the Western Balkans is again on the agenda. Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Borisov noted at the start of the event that the achievements of yesterday were something that has not happened for 15 years, namely that the EU has turned eye upon the Western Balkans and that their accession is not in question, but a matter of time.
Three topics will be discussed at today's forum: the development of railway infrastructure, motorways and digital connectivity.
