For second day in a row, Sofia wakes up with new multicolour pedestrian crossings. The zebra crossing in Ivan Vazov street looks like water melon and pedestrians recognized the traditional Bulgarian embroidery in the crossings Gurko and Shishman streets.
Some residents of the capital were not pleased with the changes and even described the midnight act as illegal and too colourful.
The authors of the project are 6 graffiti artists from “Transformatori” (Tranformers).
They managed to put a smile on the face of Sofia residents. And make their day more colourful.
They say the painted crossings will not lose their function. They expect they will attract attention of both pedestrians and drivers.
The project is supported by Sofia municipality. The funds come from Europe.
