The Covid-19 infection has claimed the lives of 15 doctors in Bulgaria since the start of the epidemic. The first two doctors who died of Covid-19 in May were Iliana Ivanova from Sliven and Neli Pandova from Sofia. They were part of the Medical Emergency Aid teams.

In June, the hospital in Vidin lost Dr. Borislav Ivanov, and in July, Dr. Yulian Stamov from the Sofia Emergency Aid Department died. A month later, the general practitioner from Yambol, Dimitrinka Raleva, died of COVID-19.
In August, the cardiologist doctor Ivelin Markov from the city of Dobrich died of the virus.
Later in the month, father and son doctors, Musa and Emil Vaklyovi, from Blagoevgrad district, died a week apart from each other.

Marin Marinov, a GP in Silistra, lost the battle with the virus.
The hospital in Gotse Delchev lost its only resuscitator - Dr. Milan Parvanov.
In the recent days, the infection has killed the doctor from Smolyan disctict, Aden Senkov, the oncologist from Vratsa, Petranka Lishkovska and the gynecologist from Bourgas Prof. Georgi Hubchev.
Today, October 19, two more doctors lost their lives from Covid-19: the 63-year-old obstetrician-gynecologist from Haskovo Nadezhda Stoykova and the 59-year-old doctor Nikolinka Kuleva.
