Thirty two are now the confirmed cases of measles in Bulgaria, the health ministry said on 20th of February. The largest number of cases is Blagoevgrad municipality - 26. Four are registered in Sofia and one in Sofia-District and Haskovo.
The highest prevalence of the diseases is among children aged between 1 and 4 - 16 cases and among babies under 1 year - 7 cases. Four children between 5 and 9 years of age are under quarantine. There is one case in the age group of 10 to 19 and 35 to 39, and two patients are between 25 and 29 years of age.
The Health Ministry has compelled GPs to search for patients from 13 to 19 years of age who are not vaacinated or have not made the second compulsory vaccination against measles and to invite them for vaccination.
