A COMPANY WHICH MONITORS HONEY BEES’ BEHAVIOUR IS THE BULGARIAN WINNER IN ‘THE VENTURE’ COMPETITION

A company that developed a system for monitoring and analyzing life in honey bee hives is the Bulgarian winner in the competition for projects in the area of social entrepreneurship - “The Venture”.

The software of the Bulgarian company “Bee Smart Technologies” is aimed at reducing bee mortality because bees are exceptionally important for the planet and pollination of plants.

The Bulgarian winner in “The Venture“ will compete in New York along with 28 other countries for the prize of 1 million dollars. The funds will support the implementation of the projects. Before that, the Bulgarian finalist will take part in a week long, training camp in Oxford. The finalists from all 29 countries will have the opportunity to meet leading technology companies and discuss their ideas with them.

"The Venture" is a global competition to find the most promising social entrepreneurs around the world. It was launched by Chivas Regal and takes place for second consecutive year. "The Venture" aims to inspite start-ups that create both financial value and a positive impact on the lives of others.
