Academician Plamen Kartalov will continue to lead the Sofia Opera and Ballet for the next five years. The current director of the cultural institution has won the competition announced by the Ministry of Culture on December 22.
The Ministry noted that the only other candidate admitted to the competition was Ognyan Draganov.
A technical procedure for notification and the issuance of an official order by the Minister of Culture is now pending, the Ministry explained.
