Bulgaria’s parliament established Friday an inquiry committee which will investigate bribery scheme allegations about the system of awarding Bulgarian citizenship.
The ad hoc committee is comprised of 17 MPs who are distributed on a proportional basis according to the size of each parliamentary faction. Jordan Tsonev of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) was elected chair of the committee. The report with the results of the inquiry shall be published in three months.
