ANNUAL ‘RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS AWARDS’

Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) announced the winners of the 11th annual ‘Responsible Business Awards’. A record high number of projects and companies applied for participation in this year’s contest. The organizers of the event reported 300 % increase in the efforts of businesses to support social causes.

According to BBLF representatives, the growing popularity of social responsibility projects is because good causes create waves and the awards event is not just a competition, but a platform for sharing of ideas. The categories “Investor in Knowledge” and “Investor in Community” attracted the largest number of nominations, possibly because businesses had noticed these were the areas that needed the strongest support.

In relation to that the Minister of Labour and Social Policy said that corporate social responsibility had already become part of modern social policy.
