The Bulgarian army will continue to help the population in the flood-affected settlements in Karlovo municipality for at least another month. A new plan is to be drawn up to guide the participation of troops in the reconstruction activities. This was announced by Brigadier General Deyan Deshkov, Commander of the 61st Mechanised Brigade.
For the eleventh day now, members of the Land Forces and the Air Forces continue to provide assistance in repairing the damage caused by the flood in public buildings and private homes of single people in the most affected settlements of the municipality of Karlovo.
Today 63 soldiers with 5 units of equipment from the 61st Strym Mechanized Brigade are helping in the villages of Slatina and Karavelovo. 40 people from the two airbases - in Graf Ignatyevo and Krumovo, are working on the clearing and restoration of the village of Bogdan.
