The Bulgarian National Television (BNT) made a documentary about the world-famous French pianist Richard Clayderman. BNT journalist Aishe Salli and her colleagues met with the famous musician in the heart of Paris, where four decades ago, in Playley Hall, Clayderman began his successful concert career. The production is realized in partnership with Cantus Firmus Music Agency and the premiere will be broadcast by the public service broadcaster on October 21 in the documentary series "V Kadur”(Close-up).
"The film about Richard Clayderman is a return to the popular “Ballade Pour Adeline” and the place from where his path to fame began. This is an exhilarating story about the long road to the big stages, filmed precisely where his first concert took place in Paris. In the film, the music also carries the beautiful face of Adeline, the love of the audience and the power of loyal friends and the irreplaceable team," says Aishe Salli.
Director of the film is Stanislav Terziev, operator - Miglena Gaidarova, folm editing director - Philip Petkov, editor is Vessela Smilets, consultant is Elka Ruskova, and producer - Nadya Obretenova.
"It was a great pleasure for Richard and me to take part in the film and we appreciate the strong commitment and high professionalism of the Bulgarian team," said Olivier Toussaint, Clayderman’s manager. "We look forward to seeing the finished film," he added. Immediately after the filming, Clyderman set off for his next concert tour, this time in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Richard Clayderman celebrates 40 years on stage with a world tour, which, over two consecutive years, passes through Europe, Asia and America. Part of it is his forthcoming concerts in Sofia and Varna at the end of this autumn. On November 29, the pianist will play in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture, accompanied by the talented musicians from the Classic FM Radio Orchestra. The concert in Bulgaria’s coastal city of Varna is on 1st of December.
