Bovska Skaklya waterfall is located in the Iskar gorge near the village of Bov, Svoge municipality, 40 km from Sofia. It is one of the highest in the Balkan Mountains. It is formed by three consecutive water jumps, the largest of which is 85 m.
The waterfall is named after Bov village and Skaklya river. It is also known as Zaselski waterfall or Zaselska / Bovska skaklya.

Bovska Skaklya is located in the middle of the Vazova ecotrail (named after one of the most famous Bulgarian writers - Ivan Vazov, who was deeply inspired by this region) .It connects the villages of Gara Bov and Zasele. It was built in the late twentieth century. It is pleasant, with many suitable places for recreation, which offer picturesque views of the Iskar Gorge. At the top, there are wide meadows and wonderful gazebos.
The best time to walk there is spring, when the waterfall has a lot of water and is the most beautiful.
