Heat supply is expected to be restored tomorrow
Breaks in a 900-mm main heating pipeline on Baba Iliitsa Street, and in a 600-mm trunk line in the courtyard of Aleksandrovska Hospital, have made it necessary to suspend heat supply to parts of the southern districts of the capital, Sofia Thermal Power Plant announced on December 4.
From 08:00 on 4 December until 10:00 on 5 December, the following neighbourhoods and business customers will be without heating:
The Lagera residential district; part of Hipodruma (between Tsar Boris III Boulevard, Academician Ivan Geshev Boulevard, Naiden Gerov Street and Sofiyski Geroy Street); the Kriva Reka district; part of Bukata (between Pencho Slaveykov Boulevard, Hristo Stanchev Street, Dospat Street, Praga Boulevard, Patriarch Evtimiy Boulevard and Vitosha Boulevard); the Ivan Vazov district; part of Lozenets (between Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Boulevard, Ralitsa Street, Biser Street and Cherni Vrah Boulevard); the Yuzhen Park residential zone; the Zdrave district; parts of the Medical Academy — First and Second Surgery; the Mother and Child Hospital; St Ekaterina University Hospital; the Paediatric Clinic on Khan Persiyan Street; dermatology and neurology clinics; the Medic Hotel; the Rectorate; and the Pathology Department.
Emergency repair teams are already on site and are beginning work to isolate, drain and repair the damaged sections in order to restore service as quickly as possible.
