Bulgaria’s caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev congratulated Olaf Scholz on his election as Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. On December 8, caretaker PM Yanev sent a congratulatory address to the newly elected German Chancellor, emphasizing the excellent state of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Germany and expecting that the traditional friendly and close cooperation in all areas of mutual interest will continue to develop in the future.
"In view of the current challenges facing the European Union, I believe that uniting the Member States around specific steps to resolve the issues is crucial. I am convinced that with a strategic, political and economic partner like Germany, together we will contribute to the achievement of this important goal for the future of Europe," caretaker PM Yanev said in his congratulatory address.
He wishes good health and success in the highly responsible mission of Olaf Scholz as Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
