Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva on October 29 offered her condolences on the tragic attack in Nice in a telegram to her French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian.
"I am deeply shocked by the cruelty and brutal assault on civilians. This act of hatred, which took the lives of innocent people, is an encroachment on our shared values and civil liberties," Zaharieva wrote.
She expressed solidarity with France, adding that no cause can justify terror.
"Together, Bulgaria and France, we will continue to work hard against the spread of all forms of extremism and hatred. Our common duty is to protect the highest human values - freedom, dignity and justice," said Ekaterina Zaharieva in the telegram to Jean-Yves Le Drian.
