Following an analysis of the election results, the IMRO leadership, represented by the Executive Committee, decided to resign and convene an Organising Council to prepare and convene a congress of the IMRO - Bulgarian National Movement, the party's website said on November 15.
The task of this congress will be to decide on the future of the organisation and to elect a new leadership.
"We remain faithful to the Bulgarian national cause. We call on the Bulgarian political parties represented in Parliament not to back down from defending Bulgarian interests in Macedonia. A cause that we will continue to defend at all costs," the IMRO added.
