Bulgaria’s President, Rumen Radev, on August 24 sent a congratulatory address to his Ukrainian counterpart, President Volodymyr Zelensky, on the occasion of Ukraine's national holiday – the Independence Day.
The Bulgarian Head of State wished his Ukrainian counterpart a speedy restoration of peace in the country.
The Head of State expressed the solidarity of the Bulgarian people with the people of Ukraine at this difficult time, Bulgaria's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and wished the country a speedy return to peace.
In his congratulatory address Rumen Radev also expressed confidence that Bulgaria and Ukraine will successfully build upon their relations, to which the large Bulgarian diaspora in the country will continue to contribute.
