BULGARIA’S PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS WILL BE HELD ON 6TH OF NOVEMBER

Bulgaria’s Presidential elections will be held on 6th of November, the MPs decided on 29th of July, the last working day before the summer recess.

The date 6th of November was proposed by the centre-right GERB party, the majority partner in the ruling coalition.133 MPs voted in favour of GERB’s proposal. The MPs rejected the date 23rd of October, which was proposed by the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party and the date 30th of October, proposed by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.
