Bulgaria’s Prime Minister ordered the inspectorates, which check the work of ministries, to carry out full checks of the public procurements in every governmental authority.
“I want full transparency and to remove any doubts regarding public money”, the government’s press office quoted PM Borissov saying during the cabinet’s meeting on 24th of February.
Borissov asked the ministers to inform him in the cases of the smallest suspicion about irregularities.
He said he would not allow the state to be destabilised because of someone’s financial interest. Borissov added that not even a shadow of doubt should remain in the public that someone was benefiting at the expense of the state.
