Bulgaria’s Head of State, Rumen Radev, congratulated his counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Republic of Turkey in the elections held yesterday, May 28, in the country.
The Bulgarian President expressed confidence that the excellent bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Turkey will continue to develop even more during President Erdogan's new term and will be a factor for strengthening good-neighbourliness, trust, security and cooperation in the region of South-Eastern Europe.
President Radev highlighted the joint efforts of Bulgaria and Turkey in the fields of energy security, connectivity, economic and trade cooperation and migration issues as factors for overcoming the challenges and in the interest of the progress of the two peoples and the region.
