BULGARIA NOMINATES IRINA BOKOVA AS ITS CANDIDATE FOR UN SECRETARY-GENERAL

On 9th of February, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a formal letter nominating Mrs. Irina Georgieva Bokova as its candidate for the post of Secretary-General of the United Nations.

"Given her background and experience, Mrs. Bokova may be one of the significant candidates in the forthcoming campaign for UN Secretary-General", the ministry says.
