Bulgaria’s Council of Ministers ratified the protocol between the governments of Bulgaria and Turkey, signed on 5th of May 2016, for the implementation of the EU-Turkey Readmission Agreement, government’s press office said on 22nd of June.
The protocol sets out the specific requirements, conditions and procedures for the implementation of the readmission agreement in the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Turkey – competent authorities, border check points for implementation of readmission, deadlines, readmission of third-country nationals or irregular migrants transiting through the territory of the country, accompanying documents and others.
