Bulgaria temporarily suspends the construction of the gas connection with Serbia

The open procedure for the extension of Bulgartransgaz EAD's gas transmission infrastructure to the Bulgarian-Serbian border is suspended in connection with a complaint, announced Bulgartransgaz EAD on 14th of February.

Bulgartransgaz EAD informs the potential participants that the procedure is temporarily suspended.

The reason for the suspension is a complaint submitted by Atomenergoremont AD against the Interpretation of Bulgartransgaz from 08.02.2019, published in the Buyer Profile provided by the contracting authority on issues received from persons wishing to participate in the procedure.

Upon the decision of the competent authority and in case the request for the imposition of a temporary measure is rejected, the procedure will be resumed and the time limits for the submission of tenders will be extended so as to comply with the requirement of Art. 28, para. 5 of the Rules for Implementing the Public Procurement Act, the total duration of each of the deadlines expired up to the moment of suspension of the procedure, together with the newly determined extended terms, shall not be shorter than the initial term determined by the contracting authority.

The state company assures all potential participants that they will be promptly informed of any follow-up action.
