On 26th of September, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) marks the European Researchers’ Night. This year it is dedicated to 145th anniversary of the establishment of BAS. The initiative aims to promote the work of the researchers and their contribution to healthy and sustainable lifestyle and better quality of life.
The British physicist PhD. Mark Looney will arrive in Bulgaria for the occasion.
The programme includes mathematics show for children, researchers’ café dedicated to “quasi crystals” and photography exhibition.
The researchers’ night has been celebrated since 2005 in the whole of Europe. This year, it coincides with 165th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Geshov - chairman of the Bulgarian Literary Society and later of the Bulgarian Academy of Scientists.
