BULGARIAN AUTHORITIES INSPECT SAFETY OF JETS AT SEASIDE RESORTS

After strengthened control in the recent years, the inspectors have not identified jets without registration of the Maritime Administration.

The people who ride jets outside the safe riding areas are also less. Only two were identified in 2015 by the Maritime Administration in the coastal city of Varna.

15 applications were submitted for opening of water bases mainly in “Albena” and “Golden Sands” resorts, near Varna. In 2015, the issued permits were 30. The same number of permits is expected this year.

43 boats for sea tours have been checked, all meeting the required standards. The authorities have initiated checks on the safety of scooters, motorbikes rentals and other similar attractions at the resorts on the Norther part of the Black Sea coast.
