Christmas bonus of 40 BGN will be given to each pensioner who receives less than BGN 321 BGN monthly pension, which is the new poverty line.
The Bulgarian government will allocate BGN 50 million for the Christmas bonuses. The decision was made at its regular meeting on 15th of November.
Nearly 60% of the pensioners will be entitled to the Christmas bonus of BGN 40 (Euro 20).
