October 1 was the first working day of Bulgarian Kristalina Georgieva as managing director of the International Monetary Fund.
Speaking to journalists, she said she is determined to work hard and has had many commitments since day one.
Answering a question what she considered to be her biggest challenge, Kristalina Georgieva said that a number of countries should be evaluated and made clear what the risks to their economies were before the IMF intervened.
Georgieva said she was very excited on the first day she stepped through the doors of the IMF as its Managing Director. I am following a great leader of the institution she said and added she was very excited by the work she and her team would have to do.
