Bulgarian football team Ludogorets Razgrad reached to the 1/8 finals in the Europa League. The Bulgarian “Eagles” clipped the wings of their counterparts from Rome after a thrilling match played at Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia in front of 35 000 fans. Stoycho Stoychev’s team managed to eliminate the rival Lazio after a spectacular draw of 3:3.
Although Lazio led 0:2 until the 67th minute, but goals by Roman Bezjak and Hristo Zlatinski drew them level. Only 4 minutes later, Miroslav Kloze scored and Lazio retook the lead. The defining moment of the football match came in 88th minute when Juninho Quixada scored for Ludogorets to make the score 3:3 on the night and Ludogorets win 4-3 on aggregate to make it through to the last 16.
In 1/8 finals of the Europa League Ludogorets will play Valencia on 13th March. The first leg will be at home.
