Operation "Winter“ begins on November 1. The Traffic Police will check whether vehicles are ready for driving in winter conditions.
The operation will have three phases. At first, the checks will focus on the compliance of drivers and whether their vehicles are in order, then on pedestrians’ safety, and at the end of the month they will be aimed at the vehicles’ technical condition.
Until November 15, the authorities will only remind drivers of the requirements, after when they will impose fines of 50 BGN on those, whose vehicles are not prepared for winter conditions.
