Bulgaria’s Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev and the Chief Prosecutor of the European Prosecutor's Office, Laura Kövesi, held a meeting at the Palace of Courts in Sofia on June 10.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Prosecutors Daniela Masheva, Krassimira Filipova, Desislava Pironeva and Head of Department 8 of the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office - "Crimes against the EU's financial interests and interaction with the European Prosecutor's Office" Prosecutor Kamen Mihov.
On behalf of the European Prosecutor's Office, the meeting was attended by the Bulgarian representative in the European Prosecutor's Office Teodora Georgieva; acting Head of Strategies and Implementation Milan Jaron and Spokesperson Tine Hollevoet.

Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev expressed confidence in the prospects for successful cooperation in the interest of European citizens between the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and the European Prosecutor's Office in combating fraud with EU funds, VAT abuse, money laundering, corruption and organised crime.
