On 12th March, the Bulgarian Foreign Minister, Kristian Vigenin, will address the Foreign Policy Committee of the Bulgarian Parliament at a hearing on the situation in Ukraine and Bulgaria’s position.
Bulgaria will not recognise the results of the referendum in Crimea, the foreign minister said on 11th March. In his opinion, the poll may be used to satisfy certain purposes, but this is not the way to solve the problems.
Bulgaria supports the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
In his opinion, the referendum is rushed, will be held in a confrontational environment and in the conditions of reinforced military presence and instability in the autonomous republic of Crimea.
